Our EOM software products manage the secure delivery of output to printers, mobile devices, online document repositories, e-mail systems, web pages, spreadsheets, etc.

The LRS Enterprise Output Management (EOM) Conversion Services group is looking for a Systems Engineer. As an EOM Systems Engineer (CS), you will develop knowledge of LRS archiving products and assist in converting/migrating customers from their existing archive solution to the LRS solution and all the challenges that come with that. No project is ever the same, even when we have prior experience converting from a customer’s existing archive! If you thrive on challenges, we are your team. You will be a member of the Conversion Services team which supports our conversion/migration  process throughout the world by attending meetings with prospective customers to identify their technical requirements; provide them with technical product explanations; and provide guidance on how to implement the products successfully in a customer’s specific environment. You will assist in the coding of the solution our team provides. You will be responsible for performing product demonstrations using web-conferencing.

You will be based in the LRS Springfield, IL office. At present, due to Covid-19, any travel for LRS employees has been suspended. When things eventually return to normal you can expect to travel 3 or 4 times a year to participate in planning meetings with a Customer. These trips typically last one week and can be anywhere in the world, based on the project you are supporting. The compensation consists of base salary plus overtime, as is necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

Two years of experience in either (1) systems administration/technical support or related experience working with mainframes or multiple distributed systems/Windows platforms for organizations of at least 1,000 employees or customers of similar size or (2) two years of college coursework in Computer Science or related field.
A strong candidate will have at least one year of experience developing code using REXX, CLIST, Python or Perl. Other programming languages will be considered, or you may have completed the equivalent of four courses in computer programming. Experience with IBM mainframes, JCL or various mainframe/open systems archiving products will enhance your profile. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
You need to be a technical professional who is comfortable and competent when interacting with customers in a pre-sales or project environment. Your ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in written form) features of the EOM archiving suite in a diverse group, ranging from CIO’s to system programmers, will be instrumental in the sales and conversion process. To demonstrate these skills, you must have experience making presentations to a live audience. This experience could be with sales presentations, technical presentations, training, or classroom experience. You must have experience explaining complex technical concepts using simple terminology.

Organization Structure and Interfaces:

The EOM Division at Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. comprises more than 150 employees
divided between 2 groups: sales/marketing and software development/support. The
EOM sales and marketing group has approximately 80 employees based in the USA
plus an additional 50 employees based in our international offices. A Senior
Vice-President oversees the entire sales and marketing operations both
domestically and internationally. The VP of Product Development and Support, VP
of North American Sales and EOM Services, VP of European Sales, VP of
Channel Division, VP of EOM Services, and Director of
International Marketing all report to the Senior Vice President.

The Conversion Services Manager reports to the Vice-President of EOM Services. You will report directly to the Conversion Services Manager.
