The Business Systems Analyst monitors and recommends improvements to the organization’s software, hardware and business systems. The Analyst works to understand business and client requirements and implement processes to meet those needs. The Analyst will be involved with improving the current operations and procedures through analysis of processes and systems, assessing our business model and how it integrates with technology. The Business Systems Analyst helps in guiding business by improving processes, products, services and software through data analysis. 1. Engages line of business user to elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
2. Evaluate information gathered, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish requests from the underlying true business needs.
3. Establish relationships and act as liaison between the business units, technology team, and vendors.
4. Perform research and self-learning on application technologies and tools with the objective of staying informed of functional changes within the application space.
5. Evaluate potential solutions and provide recommendations for advancing solution forward
6. Assist in identifying, evaluating, designing solutions that meet business unit requirements
7. Promote user adoption of solutions requiring various user training approaches, effective communication tactics and coordination of user testing
8. Provide application and configuration support

Must have the following experience:
1. 5 or more years’ experience in mortgage business analyst roles
2. Working knowledge of residential mortgage industry
3. Must have experience with various LOS platforms, including Servicing Director, OptimalBlue and Finastra
4. Knowledge of state and federal mortgage regulations.
5. Must have 3+ years of experience with SQL, writing complex SQL queries.
6. Must have 3+ of experience with SAP Crystal Reports, developing reports
7. Must have an in-depth and broad understanding of problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
8. Effective team leadership, communication, time management and organization skills.
9. Willingness to work nights and weekends during special projects when requested.
1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred or equivalent experience.
