The Identity Analyst is responsible for performing the daily identity and access management (IAM) tasks which deliver successful, business-focused identity services for employees, members, customers, and business partners. As a direct report to the Identity Lead, this role ensures that customer requests for security access are completed in a timely manner, provides first level IAM support for business and IT stakeholders, and enforces identity standards within Active Directory, Azure and other IAM tools.

Identity Analyst Major Responsibilities:
- Perform identity lifecycle management processes (process new hire onboarding, employee separation, job transfers, access remediation and privileged access requests) in compliance with established policies, procedures and SLAs.
- Follow defined processes and procedures necessary to ensure user access is granted appropriately based on user type or job function.
- Support and administer various identity technologies such as on-prem and Azure Active Directory, AS/400 iSeries, Okta, Microsoft Identity Manager, multifactor authentication, SAML and PKI
- Work with business and technology stakeholders to define appropriate permissions and implement role-based access controls
- Provide 1st tier support for key identity management systems; work with appropriate internal IT teams or vendors to investigate and resolve identity-related problems in a courteous and timely manner within established service levels.
- Monitor identity population health to enable policy enforcement and ensure IAM cohesiveness across all systems (e.g., periodic review of locked-out and disabled accounts, accounts exceeding max. password age and accounts with non-expiring passwords)
- Maintain knowledge of current IAM best practices and the ability to work with the IAM team to implement measures to protect corporate identities, network, and data
- Document IAM functional processes, procedures and job-aids.
- Assist with internal and external audit reporting, as requested.
- Identify data and process improvement ideas; contribute to enhancing the maturity of the IAM program

Ideal Identity Analyst Candidates will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science or other related field (work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis).
- Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, managing, and solving issues related to identities, identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions.
- Minimum 1 year relevant work experience including administration of Active Directory identities and Windows file system permissions (NTFS); hands-on experience with Okta or other IAM products is preferred
- Understanding of industry best practices and standards for identity lifecycle management and administration activities (i.e. provisioning, de-provisioning, automation, etc.), authorization and authentication protocols and access governance
- Knowledge of provisioning, federation, and directory services in a primarily Windows and hybrid cloud environment
- Knowledge and\or experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:
o AS/400 iSeries provisioning
o Role-based access control
o Federation and single sign-on application support and provisioning
o Multifactor authentication
o Privileged access management
o Modern authentication protocols (Kerberos, SAML, FIDO)
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service and communication skills and ability to translate technical security concepts to a non-technical audience
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to slice, pivot, evaluate large data; proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite tools, specifically: Word technical documentation, Excel for data analysis and diagramming with Visio; Powershell scripting experience is a plus.
