Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking candidates for the position of computer technician for hardware installations. This position requires nation-wide travel (Monday-Friday) 2-3 weeks a month with the remaining week(s) working in-house. All applicants must have a willingness to learn new concepts, provide excellent customer service, and support a variety of applications and hardware.

Role Overview:

The Computer Technician role is responsible for configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing desktop, network, and systems infrastructure solutions for our customers.

Day to day responsibilities may include:
  • Configuring, installing, troubleshooting and repairing desktop, network and systems infrastructure solutions for our customers.
  • Assembly, configuration and installation of equipment (desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, etc.).
  • Assist with entry-level configurations
  • End- point diagnosis, repairs (break/fix) and quality control.
  • Troubleshooting any issues/concerns that may arise during the installation process.
  • Installation of racks, cable conveyance, and all peripheral equipment
  • Rack and Stacking of equipment in racks
  • Solving issues related to cables and networks
  • Travel: To Customer sites as needed.

Role Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair technical equipment, including but not limited to PC's, Wifi, switches, etc.
  • Must be able to lift (~50) pounds of weight.
  • Must possess excellent time management skills.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving or troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong client service skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities to keep track of multiple tasks.
  • Must be a team player yet work well independently.
  • Entry level desktop technical support experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience and knowledge/ some college preferred.
