Our client is adding additional platforms and environments to our supported applications. They are looking for this person to develop Splunk dashboard and alerts for cutting edge eCommerce environments. Teams within their online ordering department work around the clock to support applications used by a wide variety of sales channels processing thousands of transactions per hour, generating nearly half of all sales revenue for this fortune 100 company! As a leader and technical expert on the team responsible for instrumenting some of their most critical systems, the ideal candidate must be detail oriented, possess strong business acumen, be proactive and possess an assertive personality.

Day to Day responsibilities include:
-Develop complex queries using Splunk Query Language for use in advanced dashboard and alerts
-Perform data transformation using Splunk Query Language
-Leverage innovations like ITSI to perform intelligent data monitoring leveraging Machine Learning shared across our platforms
-Develop advanced data visualization dashboards leveraging Splunk dashboard apps and custom dashboard apps
-Troubleshoot Splunk forwarder issues, escalate the issue and work with Splunk support team to resolve issues
-Build and integrate contextual data into notable events
-Perform routine health checks, maintenance tasks, update, upgrade, and implement new capabilities
-Recognizing and on-boarding new data sources into Splunk, analyzing the data for anomalies and trends, and building dashboards highlighting the key trends of the data
-Develop and provide reports on the usage of information and data
-Implements integration with external systems

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field preferred
-Must have a minimum of 3 years proven experience with Splunk Enterprise and ITSI
-Experience with SQL query development leveraging HTML, XML, CSS, Bash, Java, and Python scripts
-Must be able to develop adhoc queries on the fly to pinpoint application issues
-Ability to articulate search parameters and commands
-Splunk Certified Developer a plus
-Experience implementing Splunk dashboards and alerts
-Familiarity with field extraction in Splunk using regular expressions
-Experience developing prototype visualization tools to include requirements definition and execution
-Experience operating in an Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development model
-Experience identifying design and implementation details within documentation/communication to understand expected behavior
-Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
-Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer
