Summary:
The API Integration Business Analyst’s primary responsibility is to facilitate the implementation of company's products with third party vendors utilizing their API’s. This includes managing all aspects of building a new integration from start to finish. Job duties include design, technical requirement writing, User Acceptance testing, production rollout, documentation, and troubleshooting. Once the integration has been released to production working knowledge will be transferred to the Integrations Team so they can onboard clients and provide future support of the integration. This role will interact with a variety of departments daily including Management, Development, Integrations Team and Product Development team. Critical thinking, problem solving skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines are essential to this role.

Job Responsibilities:
• Work with internal and external customers to understand and interpret needs, develop potential solutions, and implement the optimal solution to meet their needs.
• Organize and stratify data, then utilize that data in recommending system solutions.
• Knowledge of project management practices and procedures for effectively communicating with external customers regarding integration from onboarding to launch.
• Conduct requirements gathering and participate in analysis, design and implementation of customer requirements to include data transformation, translation, and loading.
• Create, analyze, and validate detailed functional/technical specifications for documentation.
• Maintains knowledge and understanding of all system functions/release features/enhancements and updates documentation or integration as needed.
• Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for multiple projects.
• Establishes intra- and interdepartmental relationships to prioritize needs, communicate project status and timing expectations.
• Investigate and recommend technology enhancements to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate and execute system testing for Implementations, Enhancements and Upgrades
• Troubleshoot issues found during the implementation of a new integration or found in Production by conducting thorough research and providing a solution.
• Ensures development starts and that unit testing is complete and meets the specifications
• Resolves any questions from the Developer
• Communicates with product owner to resolve business related questions and issues as they arise
• Serves as liaison between the technical staff and the business staff
• Ensures all aspects of the process adhere to defined standards
• Experience with the data integration process from an application to application and business to business perspective, to include AS2, HTTP, and FTP
• Knowledge of leading industry technologies with a strong knowledge around IT governance, project planning, and the technological usage/alternatives available in a multi-platform environment

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years IT-related experience working with API’s
• Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge.
• Understanding of Interfaces for API’s.
• Strong problem solving, conceptual thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes by refocusing energy on highest priority.
• Must be able to juggle multiple projects/items at a time.
• Knowledge of marketplaces and webstores is a strong plus
• Knowledge of 3rd party logistics, transportation systems, and/or warehouse management is preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers

Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
