The Telecom Analyst will: • The Telecomm Technician provides daily operational support for telephony systems and services including wired and wireless voice, PSTN carrier, analog fax and one-way paging. Provides daily operational support for telephony hardware including analog, digital, and VOIP phones and accessories. Covers several sites, frequently working irregular hours. Provides basic network support including switch port configuration, UPS maintenance and data cable patching. • Manages service tickets as assigned and completes work by scheduled due dates. • Interacts extensively with end users, providing phone and in-person support. • Demonstrate attention to detail by properly labeling wiring, blocks, panels, cabling and faceplates. • Works with limited guidance from peers and supervisor, and with limited formal documentation. • Acts as a part of a larger team, providing assistance as needed to direct and indirect peers. • Able to plan, coordinate, and train departmental staff on basic phone functionality. Typical Day: • 80% working on tickets and troubleshooting • 20% working on project tasks • A typical day involves reviewing, prioritizing and completely currently assigned ticket. While doing that this person will need to frequently check email for new tickets and adjust priorities accordingly. Between working tickets and checking for new tickets project tasks will need to be prioritized and worked to ensure they are completed by defined deadlines Must have the following experience: • Bachelors Electronics or Bachelors Engineering General or Associate's degree in Electronics and two (2) years experience in Telecommunications is valid substitution for bachelor's degree. OR Three (3) years of related telecommunications experience is valid substitution for educational degree • Ability to work independently with limited guidance or documentation • Exceptional attention to detail • Ability to work on multiple simultaneous tasks • 5+ years Telecommunications hardware and software experience (vendor does not matter) • 3+ years basic Data Networking experience • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal) • Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer • Corp to corp candidates will not be considered LRS is an equal opportunity employer.
