As a Quality Assurance Specialist you will be tasked with the following:
Support the documentation and testing of a major enhancement of software products. This resource will work with a team that will be responsible for ensuring the documentation of new and changed functionality, creating and updating test cases and the quality of the applications. Additional, responsibilities will consist of detailed verification of all reporting, verifying application functionality, and documenting and communicating discrepancies within the testing phases.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents all errors, following established testing and documentation procedures.
  • Documents new functionality and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Works efficiently to improve the system. Must be able to think independently to test all scenarios.
  • Interacts with development team to understand and confirm the business rules of the application being tested.

Must have the following experience:
  • Must have a demonstrated working knowledge of computer hardware and database software and possess problem‐solving skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal forms and must have experience understanding users and communicating in nontechnical terms.
  • Must be able to work independently. Working knowledge of Internet based applications and terminology highly desirable.

Required:
  • Minimum of five years of experience in software development.
  • Must have a minimum of three years of experience in functional specification writing, creating/updating test cases, reporting results in a software testing and quality assurance environment.
  • Ability to use computers and various software packages, telephone and voicemail system, printers, copiers, 10‐key calculator, and various other office related equipment.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Previous experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) is highly desirable, as well as working with TFS User Story Boards.
  • Must be able to interpret test requirements by reading and understanding specification documents.
  • Must be able to create test cases for all items being tested.
  • Must be able to work in a fast‐paced, diverse workplace, in a team‐oriented environment, under stressful and demanding conditions.
  • Must have the ability to navigate and become familiar with all programs and applications related to the project.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals on a project team with diverse backgrounds and interests.
  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
  • Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer


Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
