Seeking a Programming Quality Analyst to join the critical communications Programming team. The Programming Quality Analyst is multi-faceted role responsible for improving the quality of Programming deliverables by automating and standardizing deployment into Production, as well as improving incident management response timeliness and providing root cause analysis.

Responsibilities Include:

Unit Test/Review programming changes:
  • Review project requests to define initial test plans
  • Review unit test results to confirm they match the request
  • Design and build efficient and reusable test cases and test scenarios for functional and regression testing
  • Assess and estimate testing efforts based on requirements and design

Production Deployment Review:
  • Compile and test modules included in change
  • Setup and test full job stream in test environment
  • Define and document production moves and setup requirements
  • Support release implementation and production verification activities

Production Incident Triage:
  • Analyze incidents in production jobs to construct and accurately document the chain of events leading to failures and the mitigation for preventing the failure in the future
  • Define and document solutions to current incident
  • Define and document mitigation steps that can be taken to prevent incident in the future Mainframe System Administration
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in computer science preferred
  • 7 years' experience
  • JCL experience - building and updating
  • Proven success creating, executing, and updating test plans and test scripts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong documentation skills

  • MicroFocus COBOL experience
  • Experience in VSE environment
  • Experience with VSAM files
  • Team Foundation Server familiarity
  • QuikJob, HP Exstream Dialogue, and GMC Inspire familiarity would be a plus
  • Mainframe production operations experience
  • Knowledgeable in JCL, networking basics, FTP, Windows batch processing
  • COBOL programming experience
  • Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer

Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
