LRS Consulting Services has been delivering IT excellence for over three decades. Our reputation for quality, flexibility, and strong relationships with our clients keeps them turning to us to meet their IT consulting needs. Our contacts, combined with your technical expertise, equals career possibilities for you. So let’s get to work!

The role of the Guidewire PolicyCenter User Acceptance Tester will perform our functional user acceptance testing (UAT) tasks in support of rolling out the new platform in individual states. The basic responsibilities are entering risk/policy information from test data into a non-production environment of the platform to validate it is working as expected. It would cover all standard insurance transactions, including policy issuance, policy changes, cancelations, and non-renewals.

Seeking individuals with a number of years of experience working in the property and casualty insurance industry, specifically with personal lines business. This knowledge is vital to promote understanding of policy and coverage rules, whether general or specific to our organization, which will help them identify any steps where the system may not be working as expected. (Coverage doesn’t align with the selection, a risk with certain attributes should not process straight through, etc.) Prior work in Underwriting, Processing, Customer Service, and Claims would probably have the easiest transition.

Must have the following experience:
  • Performing final user acceptance testing (UAT) for PolicyCenter transactions (policy issuance, policy changes, renewals, etc.) as part of the overall state implementation process
  • Design test plans and test cases based on requirements from user stories, product
  • specifications, and guidance from Product Owners (POs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Create end-to-end scenarios that encompass mandatory data fields, process steps, errors and warning messages, underwriting stops, and document triggers for single or combined requirements
  • Execute test cases, tracking steps and final results throughout
  • Compare actual outcomes of testing against expected outcomes
  • Document and report any defects discovered during the course of testing
  • Re-test scenarios after defects have been resolved
  • Complete tasks within the required timeframe to ensure project target dates are met
  • Experience of multiple years in the property and casualty insurance industry, preferably with personal lines auto and/or homeowners products
  • Proficient use of MS Office applications, primarily Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work in an environment with changing paces, to accommodate for potential delays in delivery of the final development work being moved up for testing
  • Experience with any of the Guidewire suites, specifically PolicyCenter, is helpful but not required
  • Knowledge of test planning, test case writing, and test execution is helpful, but not required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, while supporting team members as needed
  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
  • Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer

Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
