Essential Functions:
  • Build and maintain ETL processes feeding billing, financial, and procurement system information into a data warehouse.
  • Work with business analysts and system users to understand process requirements and thereby design reporting and ETL solutions that address those requirements.
  • Coordinate with front-end web developers to supply and support various stored procedures that drive web applications.
  • Create data models in a fact and dimension structure.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines used within the company-wide reporting solutions of Microsoft SSRS and Tableau.
  • Adheres to company’s Code of Conduct as well as to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.
  • Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.
  • Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
  • Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.
  • Is knowledgeable of compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse.
  • Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of administrative staff.
  • Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.

  • Bachelor’s degree obtained, preferably Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience designing tables, writing stored procedures, maintaining database processes, and query tuning.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with SQL Server
  • Minimum 1 year of experience developing in SQL Server Integration Services.
  • Preferable experience integrating with at least one medical billing system (EG HST, NextGen, MEDITECH, Cerner, etc.).
  • Experience providing support for a reporting tool is a plus (Tableau, SSRS, etc.)

  • Needs to be an aggressive learner that can efficiently review a medical system’s database schema and determine how to pull into a data warehouse to meet reporting demands.
  • This position requires someone who is very self-motivated and can solve problems.

Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
