Application Development Manager for a permanent opportunity with our client in
Bolingbrook, IL !

Our Application Development Manager will head a technical development team responsible for data exchange and integrations with outside platforms such as Shopify and Amazon and running internal tools such as warehouse and robotic automation software. Work with the CTO to execute the technical vision for the organization and mentor and enable the teams to deliver on the vision. Cultivate best practices around development, deployment, and delivery.

The Application Development Manager will:

· Define the software strategy, vision, and roadmap in alignment with the organization’s business strategy

· 30-50% Individual Contributor to development

· Use expertise and experience as a software engineer to lead software engineering teams to deliver technology solutions for business operations and external business partners

· Using AGILE methodology, guide and improve software delivery processes. Promote good habits around architecture design, code review, incorporate DevSecOps.

· Identify, develop and mentor talent in the organization regarding technologies and practices that may improve effectiveness and velocity while supporting the organization's culture, mission, and values.

· Set standards and direction around the platforms (op. viable, scalable, highly available)

· Proactively monitor, measure and mitigate technology and information risks in the IT and business environment.

- 7 years experience building applications in a python/ django/ postgres environment
- 3 years leading development teams in an Agile methodology
- 3 years experience working with CI/CD in a AWS environment
