LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Senior .NET Developer for a long term contract opportunity with our opinion research client in Chicago, IL!

Responsibilities:

- Be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of software applications developed in-house.
- Perform the most complex programming tasks in an application or system and take an active role in recommending improved software development policies and procedures.
- Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods. Act as first checkpoint to ensure quality control standards are being followed.
- Provide thought leadership on coding decisions and mentor junior programmers.
- Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments in proposal development and planning stages for major systems efforts. Create design documents and get them reviewed by architects or leads.
- Provide projects and project teams oversight in the design, development, and support of software solutions while making significant contributions in development tasks of increasing complexity.
- Take an active role in developing software development policies and procedures under the guidance of the department manager.
- Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in all phases of application software development in enterprise production environments.
- Strong expertise in C#.NET, ASP.NET MVC, & SQL, and modern design patterns and frameworks.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong experience in code management and code review/quality control.
- Hands-on experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Ability to provide thought leadership on coding & design decisions and mentor junior personnel.
- Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer.
