Time to get to work! We're seeking an experience Project Manager for a client in Central Illinois. This is a 6 month contract to hire engagement for the right person. The selected candidate will be responsible for the direction, implementation, and completion of projects while maintaining alignment with key organizational strategies. Proactively coaches and develops new (and less experienced) project managers to their fullest potential, providing mentoring, training and peer coaching support as needed. Ensures the vision, values, and strategic plan are cascaded throughout the organization to achieve desired business outcomes. Applicant Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Computer Science, Project Management, Organizational Development, or required. In lieu of degree, five years of related experience will be considered.
  • Professional in Project Management (PMP) required or completed within one year of hire.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Designed Learning Flawless Consulting Certification within one year of hire
  • 4+ years of experience in structured, formal project management required.
  • Ability to lead medium to large, complex (Tier 1 through 3 projects), challenging, or time-sensitive projects.
  • Proven experience using project management tools such as MS Project or Smart Sheet
  • Demonstrated technical project management experience.
  • Demonstrated successful management of a project team effort. This includes participating in project scoping, cost planning/budgeting of the project, identification of requirements and stakeholders. In addition, experience with risk / issue identification and mitigation planning is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate all processes related to project management activities including creating project documentation and schedule, directing and managing project work, monitoring and controlling project activities and value, and conducting thorough closure and handoff to operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to Lead Tier One, Two and Three projects ranging in length duration. In addition, experience leading programs is preferred.
  • Must have strong analysis, planning, and organizational skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Project Web Application, and Visio preferred.
  • Data modeling and/or workflow process mapping experience preferred.

Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, using the English language - Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without company sponsorship

Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
