The Senior Implementation Training Manager is responsible for the on-going supervision of the Training teams, setting and leading strategic initiatives for the team, employee development, and the training department budget.

Primary Duties:
  • Manages Training Team members to ensure training program deadlines and requirements are met
  • Performs resource and workload analysis to effectively prioritize and assign project and support resources
  • Leads the creation and ensures maintenance of all internal team standards, and ensures that team members adhere to these processes when executing their duties
  • Participates in the recruiting and selection of team candidates, and in the preparation and delivery of performance reviews and other compensation initiatives
  • Sets the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of training programs relative to implementation and continuous improvement, and works with senior management to plan and address training needs across business units
  • Develops training programs strategically for other systems as determined by the business units including but not limited to additional WMS, TMS, LMS, or BI tools.
  • Responsible for the managing the on-going maintenance of published training guides and Synapse University (or other online) training content.
  • Develops a quality control program with post-mortem evaluations for all training programs.
  • Builds relationships with key leaders in all functional areas including CL operations, Startup, Project Management, HR, WMS Implementation.
  • Coordinates and attends external conferences or other training industry best practice research to evaluate and implement the newest training methodology and techniques.
  • Researches, plans, organizes, and conducts training programs, seminars, and conferences for all levels of employees
  • Manages overall training department budget and the costs of planned programs and keeping within budgets as assessing the return on investment of any training program
  • Amends and revises programs as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
  • Travels up to 30%
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant training experience
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, Labor Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems preferred
  • Minimum 7 years in Logistics industry
  • Minimum of 4 years supervisory/leadership experience
  • PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and other presentation tools including online media.
Essential Skills:

  • Possesses technical and business knowledge relative to the training programs being developed and delivered
  • Have an understanding of e-learning techniques
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to define and rollout training programs company-wide for multiple systems
  • Ability to develop and proof training materials
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills
  • The ability to encourage and motivate people
