Description of Duties/Responsibilities/Requirements:
  • Responsible for implementation of sales specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and routing structure to support high volume Make to Order (MTO) manufacturing environment.
  • Work within a cross-functional team from various levels of company to review engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing requirements along with new product development data to establish rules and ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.
  • Provide recommendations to a wide variety of problems related to configuration and change management. Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing on all product changes affecting sales specifications and bill of materials.
  • Drives timely part setup, BOM releases, and BOM changes to support new product introduction.
  • Review impact of change requests to current product structure and product rules. Follow change requests to full implementation, including tracking the release of engineering change notices.
  • Participates in continuous process improvements focused on systems and reporting.
  • Process changes, structure new products and address issues concerning product configuration.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Requires education generally equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, math, information systems or technical area.
  • Requires two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry would be beneficial. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Requires the ability to effectively deal with diverse personalities to accomplish work goals.
  • Requires strong written and oral communication skills to communicate with fellow employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Requires the ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals.
  • Requires the ability to use a personal computer utilizing spreadsheet, word processing and MRP related software. Requires the ability to use a variety of office/production related equipment such as a telephone, copier, and scanner.

  • The employee occasionally works in proximity to moving mechanical parts and/or is exposed to outdoor weather conditions and fumes or airborne particles.
  • The employee must occasionally wear eye protection while working in manufacturing areas.
  • The noise level in the work environment moderate while working in the office but may be loud while working in production areas.

Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
