LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Network Operations Engineer for a direct-hire, primarily work-from-home opportunity with our large enterprise financial client operating in the Chicago metro area.


- Work in the network operations team to support all enterprise network technologies, and design & administrate NAC policies.
- Provide overall support to install, configure, repair, and maintain enterprise network devices and infrastructure in compliance with applicable service standards, methodologies, policies, and processes.
- Work with the IT Infrastructure Platform & Engineering team, supporting Data Center, Network (LAN /WAN), Telecom & Collaboration, and Desktop engineering.
- Troubleshoot complex issues for all levels, applying technical expertise to support devices and systems, document and analyze solutions, and recommend improvements that improve voice, data, and network utilization and capacity.
- Lead & collaborate with other professionals and technicians, analyzing client requirements and traffic to obtain installation and ongoing costs.
- Devise new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking, analyzing supported services to identify and recommend improvements in technology support process, tools, products and services.
- Other duties as assigned


- Minimum 3 years' experience in network operations/administration in enterprise environments
- Strong experience supporting enterprise Cisco switches & routers
- Strong experience supporting enterprise firewalls (pref., Palo Alto)
- Strong experience in Network Access Control (pref., w/ Forescout)
- Strong understanding of network routing protocols (pref., OSPF)
- Network certifications strongly preferred (pref., CCNA/CCNP)
