The Network Engineer is responsible for the clients on-premises and cloud networks. This position performs various functions, which include providing operational input and support for the operations, maintenance, and refinement of on-premises and cloud environments, and fostering continuous improvement of the clients IT infrastructure. This position reports to the Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations.

Main Duties
  • Designing and implementing new network solutions and improving the efficiency of existing networks
  • Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, DNS and DHCP to maximize network efficiency and security
  • Coordinating required changes working alongside the system admin and the security teams
  • Scaling cloud services to serve a growing presence
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring & tuning
  • Troubleshooting network problems, connectivity issues and outages, performing root cause analysis
  • Securing network systems by implementing effective security strategies in conjunction with the security and the system admin teams
  • Utilizing approved tools to verify and take required action on events aggregated from network monitoring tools and Web Application Firewall
  • Working to ensure that data flow diagrams are accurately completed to provide exact network connectivity
  • Defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Accomplishing information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Reporting on current infrastructure status and liaising with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plans
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

Any combination totaling two (2) years from the following categories:
  • Progressively more responsible work experience in an Information Technology (IT) related profession
  • College course work which included Information Technology (IT), IT Management, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
    • 60 semester hours or Associate's Degree equals one (1) year
    • 90-120 semester hours or Bachelor's Degree equals two (2) years
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Network Engineer
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field (combination of coursework, experience, and certifications in lieu of degree will be considered)

Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer

Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
