The Guidewire Technical Lead will:
  • Operates autonomously, broad impact across multiple systems and the IT division. Seen as an expert in defining system scope and objectives based on business/user needs. Provide guidance and training to less experienced software engineers. Responsible for instructing, directing, and checking the work of others.
  • Provide consultation as technical and system business expert on key business systems for a team or project
  • Collaborate with the business and user community to define and design technology solutions within a dedicated team or project team
  • Lead other software engineers within their team to accomplish business goals
  • Proficient in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficient developer knowledge in a variety of programming languages and/or proficient knowledge of web design languages, scripting tools and protocols.
  • Devise or modify complex procedures to solve problems for a dedicated team or project team
  • Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation within their team
  • Maintain and update team owned system artifacts so they do not become stale over time
  • Be the communication bridge across IT product/project teams to make sure duplicate work does not occur
Must have the following experience:
  • 3+ years of senior level experience in analysis, developing and writing code as well as at 2 years experience working to complex assignments and structures, and leading initiatives for the development team

  • Guidewire
    • Fundamentals
    • iConfigurations
    • Integrations
    • Guidewire Best Practices
    • DevOps Best Practices (CI\CD, Automation etc)
    • Ability to investigate and fix problems
    • Performance monitoring and tuning (Nice to have)
    • Guidewire cluster, workload distribution and optimization (Nice to have)
    • Ability to convert high-level design into detailed low-level design
  • Experience in Code Management, Release Management, Environment Management
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of general IT infrastructure concepts
  • Nice to have: Knowledge on High Availability, Scalability (Horizontal and Vertical), Disaster Recovery etc.
  • Nice to have: Knowledge on Security Best Practices for Guidewire Applications
  • Nice to have: Knowledge in Application Performance Management practices
  • Accountability – Managing own task, helping team to prioritize work, holding self and others in the team accountable
  • Communication – Ability to explain designs to developer, communicating risks, issues
  • Developing Talent – Mentoring less experienced developers.
  • Leading People Through Change – Ability to lead developers through changes in code management, release management, other technical processes.
  • Continues Learning – Ability to stay hands on, updating GW Certifications, stay up to date with latest technology trends in Guidewire, Cloud etc.

Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
