Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager within the Enterprise Output Management (EOM) group. Project Managers provide both internal assistance and external services that help our EOM sales team who offer output management solutions to new and existing customers. Project Managers are assigned to an EOM Sales Region (East, Central & West) or to areas of specialization (Managed Services, Conversion Services). You will work from the LRS Headquarters in Springfield, IL. After the initial 6 months of employment, you are eligible to work a hybrid schedule of three days in office and two days remote.

Our EOM software products manage the delivery of output to printers, document repositories, e-mail systems, web pages, spreadsheets, etc. You will provide project management support to our systems engineering team who implement our industry-leading software to Fortune 2000 companies. We are expanding our Project Management team to support the demand for resources by our sales team. Your project management and business analysis expertise will be vital to our growth plans.

As a member of the Enterprise Output Management (EOM) group, you will support the software sales process by using your skills and experience in several areas, including:

  • MFPsecure/Print and MFPsecure/Scan product implementations and rollouts – You will coordinate the implementation and rollout process in support of sales of our MFP/Secure product line.
  • Complex Output Management implementations – LRS software touches a variety of IT areas including VDI and other infrastructure components, critical application like SAP, Oracle, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), In-House, and secure printing rollouts to name a few. Often, these implementations are with global companies that must coordinate the installation and rollout of LRS software across hundreds of locations around the world. A variety of IT departments and contacts from the customer will be involved in the project. You would coordinate and lead the team responsible for installing the LRS software.
  • Assist with product quotes and Statement of Work (SOW) agreements for your region. You will create the Scope of Services used in the SOW and services quotes.
  • Project management for EOM Managed Services contracts, implementations and ongoing business review meetings with clients. LRS provides management and hosting of our EOM products. Many of our clients are moving or have move towards cloud hosted applications and are looking to LRS to provide the same service for our applications. This is a rapidly growing services offering, and project management is critical to the success of transitioning clients to our service.

Additional duties include:

  • Create and execute work plans within Teamwork project management software, updating the plan as required to manage resources and project tasks
  • Add updates to Microsoft Dynamics which is LRS’ CRM system
  • Manage the project to maintain project scope, budget and timeline
  • Create, review and manage project deliverables
  • Identify and develop plans to mitigate risks
  • Manage project team resources, provide direction and support the project team
  • Effectively communicate with local and remote team resources as well as client resources
  • Track and report project team hours and project progress on a weekly basis
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions
  • Provide monthly project status reports to the Vice President--EOM Services denoting project statistics, progress and issues or risks
  • Utilize ServiceNow and assist the Service Delivery Manager for Managed Services on Managed Services projects in your region

These activities could include you attending conference calls and web-conferences with prospective or existing customers. You may be required to perform in-person interviews, document customer requirements and processes and make presentations to customer groups consisting of both technical and/or businesspeople.

You will be based at the LRS Headquarters in Springfield, IL. No travel is required except on rare occasions. Both internal employees and external candidates are being considered for this position. As a Project Manager, you are eligible for overtime.

Performance Objectives:

  • Understand the EOM product/services line: Within three months after training on our EOM products, have a general understanding of the EOM products and be able to demonstrate that knowledge to your manager.
  • Understand the EOM business workflow: Within three months, have a general understanding of the processes necessary to be successful as an EOM Project Manager.
  • Maintain records: Record all customer contacts and activities in the current CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) system. Create and execute work plans within Teamwork project management software, updating the plan as required to manage resources and project tasks.

Applicant Requirements:

  1. You must have at least five years of demonstrable Project Management / Business Analyst experience.
  2. You must have at least two years of experience managing or leading technical personnel.
  3. You must have experience in the information technology area specifically related to defining business requirements and/or leading application development projects.
  4. Experience using Microsoft’s standard office tools along with Visio or mindmapping tools is preferred.
  5. You must have 5 years exposure to a variety of IT areas in any of the following: OS, Programming, Product Support, Project Management, CRM, Applications, Networking, Infrastructure

Your ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in written form) to people ranging from CIOs to system programmers will be instrumental in your success. To demonstrate these skills, you must have experience understanding complex technical concepts and explaining them using simple terminology. You must have experience writing business communications (letter, e-mails, formal proposals, etc.) and documenting business requirements. You must have experience making presentations to a live audience. This experience could be with business presentations, technical presentations, or by presenting training classes. Knowledge in Enterprise Output Management industry will make you a stronger candidate.

Success Keys:

You need to be a technical professional who is comfortable and competent when interacting with customers and internal technical and sales professionals. The key to your success is your ability to utilize your skills to complete projects in a timely and successful manner. You must quickly develop a basic understanding of the EOM product suite and understand how the products relate to clients’ business needs. In house training will be provided. Your aptitude or experience developing an understanding of customers’ IT environments, identifying customer requirements, and documenting requirements will be vital to your success. You must be able to demonstrate team leadership skills.

The Project Manager is required to interact with customers, our technical teams and our sales teams in the LRS regional offices, so good interpersonal and communication skills are required. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to meet expectations in several performance factors including verbal and written communications, teamwork, leadership, and delegation.

Organization Structure and Interfaces:

The EOM Division at Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. comprises more than 150 employees divided between 2 groups: sales/marketing and software development/support. The EOM team has nearly 300 employees worldwide. The COO oversees the entire team with Vice Presidents and Directors reporting directly to the COO. You will report to the Vice President-EOM Services that manages the global pre-sales technical team.
