Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AML KYC Consultant to join our compliance team as a first line of defense in our bank. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring robust anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) processes are implemented and maintained effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Design and refine AML and KYC policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Execution: Actively engage in the execution of KYC due diligence processes, including customer identification, risk assessment, and enhanced due diligence for high-risk clients.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in existing processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (such as Operations, Risk, and Legal) to ensure a cohesive approach to AML/KYC compliance.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on KYC compliance activities, risks, and improvements.
- Hand-off Planning: Develop actionable plans for transferring responsibility for ongoing compliance tasks to relevant teams, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities.
- 10+ years of experience in AML/KYC compliance within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work both strategically and operationally, executing plans effectively while managing multiple priorities, being flexible and strong ability to roll up sleeves and get things done.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments.
