Job Description
This Project manager will oversee the end-to-end management of key projects within the organization. This role will drive project deliverables and ensure they meet budget, scope, schedule, risk, and quality criteria. The Business PM will work collaboratively with key stakeholders, manage resources, and employ industry-standard project management methodologies to ensure the success of business-critical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex projects, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Ensure that project deliverables are strategically aligned with business objectives. Define, estimate, and schedule project tasks and interdependencies through a detailed project plan/work breakdown structure. Identify resource requirements and ensure the availability of adequately skilled resources by coordinating with the Steering Committee, Project Sponsor, and PMO.
Team & Stakeholder Management:
Hold resources accountable for delivering on project goals, providing coaching and mentoring as needed. Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, providing status updates on project progress, risks, and action plans. Work closely with business partners, vendors, technology teams, and other stakeholders to ensure agreement and adoption of project objectives.
Risk & Quality Management:
Identify and track project risks, implementing corrective actions to mitigate issues and keep the project on track. Facilitate project change requests and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project success.
Project Monitoring & Reporting:
Analyze project performance, providing cost-benefit analysis and tracking key measures of success. Escalate critical risks and issues to the Steering Committee/Project Sponsor when necessary. Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to the approved project management methodology.
Transition to Operations:
Ensure successful project transition into daily business operations upon completion.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on driving end-to-end project success.
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity, communicate effectively at all levels, and drive results through complex situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks.
- Competency in project management methodologies (e.g., CMMi) and tools.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and navigate unexpected obstacles.
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills. BA/BS in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
