LRS Consulting Services is seeking a SQL Analyst for a contract-to-hire, hybrid onsite opportunity for our financial client in Chicago, IL!
Responsibilities:
- Work in SQL Server Management Studio to manage, interpret, and analyze data.
- Create SQL queries to extract, aggregate, and interrogate data for accuracy/integrity, as well as to facilitate analytics and populate reports for the analytics & research team.
- Leverage data to calculate metrics and produce business reports.
- Analyze data ingestion processes, data preparation scripts, and ETL workflows.
- Create new metrics, KPIs, and insights for clients and internal operations.
- Review data and deliverables to drive quality assurance.
- Execute delivery plans and timelines, identifying dependencies, and communicating project status.
- Liaise with the organization's clients to collect data and remediate any inaccuracies or gaps in the data.
- Utilize Jira to track and prioritize weekly tasks
- Support the build of next-generation data platforms and environments.
- Contribute to data governance best practices and determining current-state alignment to them.
- Oher duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree (relevant STEM background preferred).
- 3+ years of professional experience in SQL, with focus on data management &/or data analytics
- Intermediate skill in creating SQL queries, with proficiency in utilizing custom and out-of-the-box functions in MS SQL (incl., aggregate, ranking, analytic functions, etc.)
- Hands-on experience experience with data management tools (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio), and good knowledge of table joins, table structures, and database concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaborate effectively in a team environment and managing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability and willingness to learn new tools and applications.
