As a Sr. Data Solutions Engineer you will lead the architectural design of scalable data and AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals. You’ll develop best practices, collaborate cross-functionally, support data governance, and drive adoption of innovative technologies for secure, compliant, and efficient deployment of AI and data systems at scale, while engaging stakeholders across all levels.

Hourly rate between $20 - $125 per hour

As a Sr. Data Solutions Engineer you will lead the architectural design of scalable data and AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals. You’ll develop best practices, collaborate cross-functionally, support data governance, and drive adoption of innovative technologies for secure, compliant, and efficient deployment of AI and data systems at scale, while engaging stakeholders across all levels.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead and guide a team of data engineers, help with troubleshooting, task prioritization, and ensure the successful completion of data pipeline projects
- Automate data wrangling from a wide variety of sources (flat files, remote servers, databases, legacy systems, message queues, APIs and more)
- Take ownership of larger or more complex data projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and timely delivery, while supporting other team members on their tasks
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand data needs, ensuring that data pipelines and processes meet operational requirements and support business analytics.
- Leverage many technologies and methodologies as required—including scripting and programming languages
- Assist in the preparation, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning/artificial intelligence data pipelines
- Travel – Occasional overnight travel 1-3 nights per quarter for company meetings. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
- Schedule – ability to work flexible hours; may include evening & weekend hours as needed
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in IBM DataStage or equivalent data integration tool
- Ability in developing, deploying, and maintaining data processes and pipelines in Python
- 2+ years of experience in hybrid cloud environments
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to build and orchestrate code in numerous ways to support analytics deployment
- Effective interpersonal skills, with positive professional verbal and written skills
