LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Product Owner. This is a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in St. Louis, MO (role can be remote). If you’re that person, submit your resume now!

The experienced Product Owner is responsible for driving the vision and execution of our client’s marketing technology strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their marketing capabilities as they transition to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and optimize their broader marketing technology ecosystem. This Product Owner will be the champion for their marketing technology needs, ensuring their tools and platforms enable best-in-class customer experiences and drive impactful marketing outcomes.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Define and communicate the product vision for the marketing technology stack, aligning with overall business objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap based on business value, technical feasibility, and user needs.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing teams, IT, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities related to marketing technology.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for marketing technology product-related inquiries.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and opportunities to enhance our marketing technology capabilities.
  • Translate business needs and marketing strategies into clear and well-defined user stories, with detailed acceptance criteria, ensuring they are understood by the development team.
  • Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog for the marketing technology stack, ensuring it is transparent, visible, and reflects the latest priorities.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions and ensure the backlog is ready for sprint planning.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, providing clarity on user stories and priorities.
  • Work closely with agile development teams throughout the development lifecycle, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Provide guidance and clarification to the development team on product requirements and address any impediments.
  • Review and accept completed work to ensure it meets the defined acceptance criteria and aligns with the product vision.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the development team to plan and manage product releases, ensuring successful deployment and communication.
  • Leverage a strong understanding of the marketing technology landscape, including key features and functionalities of various platforms (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, data management, analytics, content management).
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing technology.
  • Play a key role in the transition to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring a smooth and effective implementation and integration with other marketing technology tools.
  • Understand data flows and integration points within the marketing ecosystem
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of the marketing technology stack.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with training and documentation teams to ensure marketing users have the necessary knowledge and resources to effectively utilize the marketing technology stack.
Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Product Owner
  • Experience with B2C (Business-to-Consumer) marketing models
  • Experience with at least two of the following platforms: Salesforce, Eloqua, Hubspot
  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)

Hourly rate between $20 - $125 per hour

Colorado Pay Range:
20.00 - 1258.00/
