LRS Consulting Services is seeking an offshore Guidewire QA Tester for a contract opportunity with our client in Central Illinois! 

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out procedures to ensure that all information technology solutions and services meet company quality standards and user requirements.
  • Design and execute test plans, manual and automated test scripts, and test cases based on project requirements and objectives.
  • Perform system, integration, functional, data validation, and performance testing as well as facilitate user acceptance testing.
  • Utilize test automation tools and scripts, where feasible, to streamline test cycle execution.
  • Utilize test management tools to document test plans and to report test results and defects
Requirements:
  • Ability to grasp business and technical processes analytically/strategically.
  • Work cross-functionally to assist with problem solving and project plan activities.
  • Respond to inquiries, requests in a timely fashion.
  • Team focused.
  • Effective written and verbal communications in a professional manner to management, business partners, associates, and external resources.
  • Must have the following experience:
  • Capable of operating autonomously on multiple testing and maintenance activities, including some test design.
  • 5+ years software testing experience.
  • QA professional certification (ISTQB, QAI)
  • Advanced knowledge of quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.
  • Intermediate knowledge of software development lifecycle and project lifecycle principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of test automation and test management tools.
  • Works with others, provides feedback and guidance to less experienced staff.
Guidewire-Specific Qualifications:
Policy Center
  • 5+ years’ experience with both OOTB Guidewire functionality and client customizations for Guidewire Policy Center for Property and Casualty Insurance companies
  • 2+ years’ experience in requirements testing Policy Center for both Configuration and Integration requirements for 3rd party vendors
  • Experience testing customized Business Rules, Activities, Underwriting Issues, Rate Books, Roles and Permissions, and other Administration data within the Guidewire application(s)
  • Experience with center-to-center integration testing amongst the GW application suite
  • Proficient with integration testing using SOAP UI
  • Experience validating XML and JSON payloads from integration message queues in the admin of Policy Center
  • Experience using the application logs within Policy Center to troubleshoot issues and validate test scenarios
  • Experience working with both the business and IT stakeholders to create test cases to match end-to-end test scenarios
Billing Center
  • 5+ years’ experience with both OOTB Guidewire functionality and client customizations for Billing Center for Property and Casualty Insurance companies
  • 2+ years’ experience in requirements testing Billing Center for both Configuration and Integration requirements for 3rd party vendors
  • Proficient with integration testing using SOAP UI
  • Experience testing customized Pay Plans, Delinquency Flows, Roles and Permissions, and other Administration data within the Guidewire application(s)
  • Experience with center-to-center integration testing amongst the GW application suite
  • Experience validating XML and JSON payloads from integration message queues in the admin of Billing Center
  • Experience using the application logs within Billing Center to troubleshoot issues and validate test scenarios
  • Experience working with both the business and IT stakeholders to create test cases to match end-to-end test scenarios
Additional Details:

The base range for this contract position is $30-$60 per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
