The Cybersecurity Engineer will:
- Develop, implement, and monitor security controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate policies.
- Manage and administer a wide range of security platforms, including Azure, Office 365, endpoint protection, email and web filtering, vulnerability management, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IPS/IDS).
- Conduct risk-based security assessments of network infrastructure, applications, and hosts, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigating controls.
- Collaborate with business units to address cybersecurity risks and integrate security into operational processes.
- Generate reports and metrics to provide visibility into the organization's cybersecurity posture and risk levels.
- Participate in security audits, penetration testing, and control reviews; support incident response and handling efforts.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FFIEC guidelines).
- Assist with and lead projects related to security tool implementation and enhancement.
- Stay current on cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and mitigation strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ years relevant experience in IT, with 3+ years in a cybersecurity-focused role.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security, particularly in Azure and Office 365 environments.
- Proficiency in managing endpoint security, data loss prevention (DLP), IPS/IDS, and log management systems.
- Proficiency in some/all of the following tools preferred: Zscaler, Qualys & CrowdStrike
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management, incident response, and mitigation strategies.
- Good familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF or CIS Top 20
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, as well as advanced security certifications (e.g., SANS, CEH, Azure) are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards like OCC and FDIC guidelines preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
- Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer
- Corp to Corp candidates will not be considered
The base range for this contract position is $55/hr to $75/hr depending on experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Colorado Pay Range:
120000 - 135000/per Year
