LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced IT Technical Development Leader for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a Fortune 1000 client headquartered in the Midwest. This is a strategic, high-impact role leading a team of 7–10 developers in the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native digital solutions. The position is focused on leadership and architecture rather than hands-on coding.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and design innovative technical solutions.
- Architect modern, cloud-native applications and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software.

- Interface with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to support business goals.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience leading software development teams and delivering technical solutions.
- Expertise in designing and delivering APIs and microservices in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Hands-on familiarity with C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience implementing DevOps practices, automated testing, and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Stronger Candidates Will Have One or More of the Following
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Certifications in cloud platforms or project management
- Experience managing remote and hybrid teams
- Practical use of generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT)
Work Environment
- Role offers flexibility: fully remote, hybrid, or on-site
- Must be available for a 1–2 week onsite onboarding period, followed by periodic visits throughout the year
Team Environment
This role reports into a high-visibility leadership group. While most of the team is collaborative and engaging, the direct hiring manager has a challenging communication style and expects a high level of accountability. Candidates with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate complex personalities will thrive. Candidates located within a ~3.5-hour radius (Midwest region preferred) will be given priority due to ease of travel
