Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Principal Project Manager with our client in Minneapolis, MN. Ideally looking for candidates in Westchester, IL or Fort Worth, TX.
The Principal Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives leads high-value, enterprise-wide projects that directly support the organization’s strategic goals. The incumbent is part of a broader team charged with driving the successful implementation of strategic priorities. This role is responsible for managing projects from initiation through completion (transition to run-the-business owner and flow), ensuring delivery of the intended value within scope, budget, and timeline. The Project Manager maintains clarity to vision, drives collaboration across departments, engages stakeholders at all levels, and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This position plays a key role in enabling enterprise transformation and delivering measurable business outcomes, often within a global context. The successful incumbent remains curious, engaged, and highly motivated to create meaningful difference to support RB Global growth. This role will be heavily focused on integration and M&A.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, IT, or other related field
  • 8 + years’ experience managing strategic or enterprise-level projects including global initiatives
  • PMP or equivalent certification required
  • Experience successfully driving complex initiatives across diverse teams
Skills and Proficiencies:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Skilled at engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels
Attitudes and Interests:
  • Displays discernment, curiosity, and ability to adapt in fast-paced environment
  • Strong interest in driving successful, meaningful work tied to company growth

Work Arrangement:
  • Adhere to 3 days in office.
  • Some travel may be required for off-site engagements



Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning
  • Articulate project opportunity, value, and vision in terms of Core4 and Complementary Growth Levers (strategic priorities) to frame the purpose, work, and timing.
  • Stay connected with broader bodies of work to sequence, ascertain audience readiness, and alignment of deployment
  • Create appropriate cadence, team, and milestones to achieve
  • Strategic Execution
  • While keeping the purpose in sight, lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, strategic, enterprise-wide projects / work that align with the strategic priorities
  • Drive strategic initiatives including integrations, enterprise transformation, and global expansion efforts
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to confirm project scope, objectives, success criteria, and key deliverables
  • Ensure projects deliver on intended outcomes

Global Project Leadership
  • Manage initiatives involving global teams, stakeholders, and operations across multiple time zones and local cultures
  •  
  • Coordinate with international partners to ensure alignment, compliance, and effective execution
  •  
  • Create project plans and communication strategies to accommodate local needs and regulatory requirements
Project Planning & Delivery
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budges, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Proactively manage scope changes, risks, and issues, implementing effective contingency plans
  •  
  • Drive project progress and provide timely, actionable updates to stakeholders and leadership
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Facilitate clear, compelling, consistent communication among executive sponsors, stakeholders, project teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across departments to ensure alignment and support
  •  
  • Influence decision making and drive clarity and action among diverse stakeholder groups
Team Leadership
  • Actively be part of the broader team; leverage and share leading practices so the broader team and organization benefit
  •  
  • Leverage tools, templates and approach so that the overall Strategic Portfolio Management Team operates in unison and alignment with shared resources
  •  
  • Champion knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the project management community
Governance & Quality
  • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct post-product reviews to capture lessons learned and recommend improvements
  •  
  • Other duties as assigned.
The base hourly range for this contract position is $40-$70 per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
