Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced GraphQL Engineer for a short-term engagement lasting approximately 3–4 months. This consultant will support ongoing development efforts by enhancing and optimizing GraphQL APIs and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. This role may be performed remotely for individuals currently residing in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain GraphQL schemas, queries, and resolvers
  • Optimize API performance, reliability, and security
  • Integrate GraphQL services with backend systems and data sources
  • Collaborate with development teams to define data models and API requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve GraphQL-related issues across environments
  • Provide guidance and best practices for scalable GraphQL implementation

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with GraphQL, including schema design and performance tuning
  • Proficiency in a backend language commonly used with GraphQL (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, etc.)
  • Experience integrating APIs within distributed environments
  • Solid understanding of authentication and authorization patterns
  • Ability to work independently and deliver within a defined project timeline
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Third-party candidates will not be considered

Stronger Candidates Will Have Experience With:

  • Apollo Server or Apollo Federation
  • Hasura
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes

The base range for this contract position is $60.00 - $90.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Colorado Pay Range:
60.00 - 90.00/per Hour
