Job Description
Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Software Test Analyst for a contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to apply your skills in support of meaningful work for one of our client partners.
The Lead Testing Analyst will utilize established testing methodologies within an Agile framework. The role includes coordinating and supporting test activities across applications such as EDRS, BRS, VERA, and systems within other public health programs. This position engages daily with Test Analysts, helps plan and organize testing efforts, and ensures effective communication between technical and business teams. Responsibilities include preparing reports, facilitating meetings, maintaining documentation, and supporting quality assurance deliverables.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing activities for assigned projects and maintenance work.
- Provide daily support and guidance to Test Analysts, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Estimate testing efforts for new projects and ongoing support activities.
- Review and analyze requirements, user stories, and design documents to ensure they are testable, clear, measurable, and aligned with established standards.
- Create and maintain test planning documents based on user and system requirements.
- Produce reports, presentations, and meeting summaries related to quality assurance activities.
- Participate in project team meetings and daily stand‑ups, providing updates on testing progress and defect status.
- Communicate testing quality, results, and findings to management and stakeholders.
- Share recommendations for testing improvements, process enhancements, and best practices.
- Execute functional testing, system integration testing, load testing, and related activities
- Record, track, and help manage defects through closure.
- Execute test cases and document results according to established procedures.
- Support testing data management activities and ensure data is maintained according to project needs.
- Store all test artifacts in DevOps at predetermined checkpoints.
- Participate in retrospectives or lessons‑learned sessions.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience leading and performing QA testing activities, including functional, system integration, and load testing (preferably within Public Health or similar environments).
- 8+ years of experience coordinating user acceptance testing.
- 5+ years of experience maintaining test logs, tracking defects, and prioritizing defect resolution.
- 5+ years of experience offering guidance or knowledge‑sharing on testing practices within a team environment.
- 5+ years using DevOps or similar tools for test case and test plan management.
- 3+ years of experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Provar, Selenium, SmartBear) supporting large‑scale projects.
- 5+ years of experience preparing test closure documents, generating test metrics, updating logs, and supporting transitions from project to maintenance.
