Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Hardware Asset Manager to define, deploy, and oversee all phases of the enterprise hardware IT Asset Management (ITAM) process. This role is responsible for managing hardware inventories, vendor relationships, and leasing agreements, and ensuring the organization’s hardware environment supports business operations effectively.

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Lenexa, KS. Occasional travel (1–3 times per year) may be required for training, conferences, or vendor engagements.
The base range for this contract position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of IT hardware assets across the organization
- Build and sustain automated asset inventory systems
- Manage contracts and relationships for leased hardware assets
- Ensure adequate inventory levels to fulfill hardware requests
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide asset management policies and procedures
- Identify and deploy ITAM best practices
- Oversee the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning
- Manage warranties and service agreements
- Define and enforce hardware standards and compliance controls
- Conduct regular audits and inventory reviews
- Standardize and oversee device shipping and receiving processes
- Implement and manage ITAM tools and systems
- Serve as the point of contact for selected hardware vendors
- Generate asset reports to support forecasting and decision-making
- Partner with other departments to support hardware needs for various projects
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT asset management
- Experience managing leased assets and coordinating resources across multiple locations
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ITAM module (preferred)
- ITIL Certification (required or in progress)
- Industry certifications such as ITAM, CITAM, or CHAMP are preferred
- In-depth understanding of ITAM standards and practices
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time, tasks, and priorities efficiently
- Collaborative and professional interpersonal style
- Leadership and mentoring experience a plus
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
