Compliance Intern - Summer Internship Program
We are seeking Compliance students for our 2026 summer internship program. This intern will support the Compliance team in ensuring that the organization adheres to internal policies, federal and state laws and regulations, and contractual requirements. This role provides exposure to compliance operations, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements while contributing to projects that strengthen the company's compliance framework.
We offer hands-on experience in a casual, yet professional work environment, making it an excellent place to learn and grow. Interns will be based at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, Illinois (temporary housing may be available). Applicants must be available for full-time work from mid-May to mid-August 2026.
Core Responsibilities:
As a Compliance Intern, you will contribute to a range of projects, including:
- Conducting legal/regulatory research to support decision-making.
- Assists with preparation of compliance reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Supports audits & risk assessments as needed.
- Participates in compliance training sessions and assist in developing training materials.
- Maintains accurate records and organize compliance documentation.
- Will also have the opportunity to choose a special project aligned with their specific interests in the corporate legal and compliance field.

Applicant Requirements:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, and pursuing a degree in Law, Business Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, or one year of professional working experience in a related field.
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework, including four courses in Law, Business Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, or one year of professional working experience in a related field.
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Candidates should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer (no visa sponsorships available).
The LRS Compliance team supports compliance operations for all LRS product lines enterprise wide. It is a centralized corporate function, coordinating and developing compliance programs related to data privacy, information security, AI, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and non-discrimination, anti-bribery and corruption, export, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance activities. The Compliance Team works closely with the Legal Team, and Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside both teams. Mentorship will be provided by both the Legal and Compliance Teams.
This is a temporary, full-time internship for summer 2026, with a pay rate of $18/hour. Internships have the potential to lead to permanent positions based on the future needs of the organization.
