Job Description

Consulting Intern (Kansas City, MO) - Summer Internship Program

We are seeking Sales/Business students for our 2026 summer internship program. Interns will be competitively selected to join our Consulting team where they will support account executives and sales leadership. We are seeking a motivated and resilient Inside Sales Intern to support our outbound prospecting efforts. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the structure of IT organizations and develop real-world sales skills through cold outreach and strategic messaging.  

We offer hands-on experience in a casual, yet professional work environment, making it an excellent place to learn and grow. This intern will be based at our Kansas City, Missouri location (Housing not available). Applicants must be available for full-time work from mid-May to mid-August 2026.

Core Responsibilities:

As a Consulting Intern, you will contribute to a range of projects, including:

  • Learn and understand our target market and the typical structure of our IT departments.
  • Receive training on our sales approach, messaging strategy, and outreach methods.
  • Conduct cold calls and LinkedIn outreach to prospective clients.
  • Schedule qualified meetings (video or in-person) for our Account Executives.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and team members to refine outreach techniques.

Applicant Requirements:

Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Business, Professional Sales, Business Administration, Communications, or have at least one year of professional working experience in a similar field.

  • Completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework, including four courses in Business, Professional Sales, Business Administration, Communications, or have at least one year of professional work experience in a related role.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Candidates should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Having IT-related coursework or experience will make you a stronger candidate.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer (no visa sponsorships available).

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and an interest in sales, business development, or IT markets. They will also be self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative, is comfortable with rejection, and able to maintain a positive attitude


Organization Structure and Interfaces:

As a Consulting Intern, you’ll support Account Executives and receive support from the Branch Manager. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to develop analytical, communication, and new strategies in a professional, results-driven environment. The Consulting Division helps their clients find first class talent to meet all of their specific needs. 

This is a temporary, full-time internship for summer 2026, with a pay rate of $20/hour. Internships have the potential to lead to permanent positions based on the future needs of the organization. Housing is not available for this location.
