Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with our client in Minneapolis, MN.

Our client is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead a key project, a critical enterprise initiative to migrate loans with balances. This role is essential to the company's strategic objectives and requires a seasoned leader who can drive complex technical delivery while managing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

About the Role:

You will own end-to-end project delivery for a data migration and technology build-out initiative. While zero-balance loan migration processes already exist, this project focuses on the more complex migration of loans with active balances. Success requires deep technical acumen, disciplined project management, and exceptional communication skills to guide leadership through a high-stakes delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive technical delivery – Lead project planning, execution, and completion; establish realistic timelines and ensure team accountability to committed dates
  • Executive reporting – Create and deliver weekly PowerPoint status reports for executive consumption, clearly articulating overall project status, risks, issues, and migration plans or path to green
  • Manage complexity – Develop deep understanding of data mapping and technology architecture; translate technical concepts for executive stakeholders
  • Govern scope and risk – Prevent scope creep and gold plating; proactively identify, escalate, and resolve risks and blockers
  • Team oversight – Establish project processes, monitor team productivity, assign responsibilities, and hold teams accountable to deliverables
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of technical project management experience, with proven success on complex data migration or technology transformation projects
  • Expert-level communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to translate technical concepts for C-suite audiences
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships
  • Strong proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and drive solutions independentlyPreferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data conversion, ETL processes, or banking/financial systems migration
  • Business analysis background
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies

    The base range for this contract position is $70-$100 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
