Job Description
Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking an Business Analyst (Digital Accessibility) for a Contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to apply your accessibility and compliance expertise in support of meaningful, user‑centered work for one of our client partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and remediate digital accessibility issues across websites, applications, documents, videos, dashboards, and other digital content.
- Develop and maintain internal workflows, procedures, and training materials that support organization‑wide accessibility compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in creating accessible content using tools such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, WAVE, Lighthouse, Color Contrast Analyzer, NVDA, Microsoft accessibility checkers, and keyboard‑only navigation techniques.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure digital content aligns with applicable federal and state accessibility guidelines.
- Create and update accessibility resources, testing processes, and documentation to improve consistency and effectiveness across teams.
- Assist teams in understanding and applying technical accessibility requirements for websites, applications, and digital documents.
- Support organizational change management efforts related to accessibility practices and standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of disability law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA).
- Understanding of common web communication accessibility barriers and methods for addressing them.
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PDF accessibility.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Understanding of internet/intranet application design, development, testing, and maintenance practices.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, databases, graphic design tools, and page layout tools.
- Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Clear and respectful verbal, written, and customer‑focused communication skills.
