Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking an Automation Engineer for a Contract  opportunity. This role offers the chance to apply your technical and content‑engineering expertise in support of meaningful, innovative work for one of our client partners.


This role supports the modernization of People (HR) content for AI‑enabled employee experiences. You will collaborate with Enablement Architecture, Digital Experience, AI Architects, Engineering, Legal, and Security teams to transform unstructured HR content into governed, structured, and measurable knowledge assets that support accurate and trustworthy AI interactions. Responsibilities focus on designing and implementing content optimization pipelines, metadata standards, retrieval architectures, and evaluation approaches that improve AI performance and employee self‑service outcomes.

Required

  • Experience contributing to AI‑ready content systems, retrieval systems, or similar enterprise‑level solutions.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Information architecture and content structuring
    • Metadata, taxonomy, and content classification
    • Retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) or enterprise search concepts
  • Experience applying semantic chunking, embeddings, and indexing approaches.
  • Familiarity with privacy‑aware AI practices, including permissions, PII management, and auditability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred

  • Experience with vector search technologies, AI evaluation metrics, or content‑health monitoring.
  • Exposure to governance models and standards adoption.
  • Ability to document technical work clearly and translate concepts for diverse audiences.
The base range for this contract position is $70.00 - $100.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
