Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Systems Analyst for a meaningful opportunity with one of our client partners. This role offers the chance to apply your analytical and documentation skills in support of important system modernization and operational improvement efforts.

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Systems Analyst to support comprehensive analysis and documentation.  This role focuses on inventorying, analyzing, and documenting eligibility determination logic, business rules, batch processes, system interfaces, and operational workflows in a hybrid environment. The system includes Mainframe batch programs, COBOL modules, SQL logic, an Enterprise Java web application, Java Web Services, and a Business Rules Engine (e.g., Corticon).

The selected candidate will create clear, structured documentation—such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flows, rule inventories, pseudocode, traceability matrices, interface documentation, and system architecture references—to support operational sustainability, audit preparedness, knowledge transfer, and modernization initiatives.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective organization and time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to provide timely, detailed status updates to the project manager.
  • Strong analytical thinking and documentation proficiency.
  • Experience analyzing complex systems and identifying documentation needs.
  • Ability to translate technical logic into structured, accessible business documentation.
  • Ability to independently plan, prioritize, and complete complex analytical tasks.
The base range for this contract position is $34.00 - $44.00  per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
