Job Description
LRS is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise analytical data models used to build BI dashboards. This role works with the entire semantic model lifecycle, from understanding business requirements to shaping source data, designing dimensional models, and writing high-quality DAX measures. The ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver efficient and reusable data models.
This position is based at our headquarters in Springfield, IL and is an in-office position (No remote availability).
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the data team to clean, shape, and validate source data
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI semantic data models
- Develop measures and visual calculations using DAX
- Optimize model performance
- Collaborate with business groups and translate business needs into analytical data
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience developing Power BI semantic data models
- Experience with dimensional data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
- Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL
- Experience with DAX and Power Query
- Experience with Power BI dataflows
- Familiarity with row-level security (RLS)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Experience working with data warehouses
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric
Success Keys
The successful candidate will demonstrate skills using Power BI in an enterprise, delivering reliable, high-quality data models that drive actionable insights. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, design optimal semantic data models, and validate correctness of data.
Organization Structure
The LRS IT team consists of a Chief Information Officer, Director of IT, Director of Applications, Director of Information Security, and teams for networking, infrastructure, cloud, communications, end-user services, and applications. The team is based in Springfield, IL and manages the global operations at LRS. You will report to the Chief Information Officer.
Salary Range
$90,000–$120,000 annually plus paid overtime and full benefits. This range represents the low and high for this position. The salary will vary depending on factors including experience and skills. The range listed is just one component of LRS’ total employee compensation, as we have a generous benefits package.
