Required Experience

• Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Snowflake in enterprise‑scale environments, including implementations, installations, and ongoing operations.

Core Responsibilities & Key Skills

Enterprise Snowflake Implementations

• Hands-on experience delivering and supporting enterprise Snowflake implementations
• Lead Snowflake platform setup, onboarding, and rollout across large organizations
• Experience supporting complex data environments with multiple teams and workloads

Platform Setup & Infrastructure

• Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture and administration
• Design and manage databases, schemas, virtual warehouses, roles, and resource monitors
• Experience integrating Snowflake with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and enterprise data ecosystems
• Support multiple environments (development, test, production) and lifecycle management

Security & Governance (Critical Skill Area)

• Deep knowledge of Snowflake security best practices
• Implement and manage RBAC, user access controls, and privilege management
• Experience with data masking, row‑level security, auditing, and encryption
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and data privacy standards

Performance Tuning & Optimization

• Strong experience in Snowflake performance tuning and query optimization
• Monitor and optimize warehouse usage, clustering, and workload performance
• Implement cost optimization strategies and usage monitoring

Day‑to‑Day Administration & Support

• Provide daily operational support for Snowflake users and workloads
• Troubleshoot incidents, performance issues, and user access requests
• Partner with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to support business needs
• Support platform enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing improvements

Key Technologies & Tools

• Snowflake (Administration, Security, Performance Tuning)
• SQL
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Data security, governance, and compliance frameworks
• Monitoring, cost management, and performance optimization tools

- Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal) 

The base range for this position is $35 - $60 per hour, depending on experience.  Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Colorado Pay Range:
35.00 - 60.00/per Hour
