Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer for a contract position. If you are looking to join an established development team that partners closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design, develop, test, deploy, and support web applications this position is for you!

The team supports both ongoing maintenance and new development initiatives involving .NET MVC applications transitioning to .NET Core. Development efforts leverage technologies including C#, JavaScript, jQuery, Entity Framework, Kendo UI, Web API, SQL Server, and n-tier architecture.

The selected candidate will collaborate with team members throughout the software development lifecycle, participating in requirements analysis, solution design, front-end and back-end development, testing, code reviews, technical documentation, and production support activities.

We are looking for a professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality software, enjoys collaborative problem-solving, and values continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and effective communication.

This position is 100% remote; however, candidates must reside in Wisconsin for the duration of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web-based applications and services.
  • Develop front-end and back-end application components using .NET technologies and related frameworks.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining coding standards and best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, solution designs, and implementation details.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while providing ongoing application support.
  • Support application modernization efforts and technology upgrades.
  • Contribute to testing activities, including unit testing, smoke testing, and automated testing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and technical innovation.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business objectives and how technical solutions support organizational goals.

Technical Experience

  • Experience developing web, Windows, or batch applications using ASP.NET MVC and C#. (8+ years preferred)
  • Full-stack development experience using:
    • .NET MVC
    • .NET Core
    • C#
    • JavaScript
    • jQuery
    • LINQ
    • Bootstrap
  • Experience designing and developing responsive HTML5 applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with application and web design patterns in the .NET ecosystem.

The base range for this contract position is $45.00-$55.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
