Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented UX Researcher to join our client on a contract position. In this role, you will partner closely with Product, Design, and Development teams to advocate for user needs and ensure insights are incorporated throughout the product development lifecycle.

You will lead research initiatives from planning through execution and synthesis, helping stakeholders make informed, user-centered decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong research expertise with excellent communication skills, stakeholder management experience, and a genuine curiosity about human behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product, Design, and Development teams to raise awareness of user needs, pain points, motivations, and behaviors.
  • Understand stakeholder objectives and determine the most effective research methodologies to address business and user questions.
  • Plan and execute end-to-end UX research projects, including project kickoff, participant recruitment, research facilitation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research using methods such as:
    • Contextual inquiries
    • Usability testing
    • User interviews
    • Focus groups
    • Surveys
    • Competitive benchmarking
  • Develop research deliverables including research plans, proposals, moderator guides, surveys, and research reports.
  • Synthesize complex findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Present research findings confidently to stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Identify gaps in user knowledge and proactively pursue research opportunities that deliver business value.
  • Recruit, manage, and maintain participant panels from internal and external sources.
  • Serve as a trusted source of user knowledge and advocate for user-centered decision-making across the organization.
  • Work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Human Factors, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting formal UX or user-centered research.
  • Strong foundation in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and execute research projects from start to finish.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience presenting research findings and influencing stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities.
  • Comfort operating autonomously and making decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Passion for understanding human behavior and creating exceptional user experiences.

The base range for this contract position is $45.00 - $60.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
