Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Help Desk Technician. In this role is responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, coordinating hardware inventory activities, supporting employee offboarding processes, monitoring asset recovery efforts, and assisting with annual hardware replacement planning. If you are a detail-oriented, organized, and able to effectively collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users, this position is for you! 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware assets, including inventory tracking, monitoring, recovery, and disposition.
  • Maintain accurate hardware asset records within IT asset management and desktop management systems, including Cherwell and Ivanti.
  • Utilize asset management tools to troubleshoot issues, generate reports, and analyze inventory data.
  • Provide first-level support for hardware asset-related requests associated with employee offboarding activities.
  • Coordinate with managers and stakeholders to recover hardware assets assigned to departing employees.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of asset disposition reports used to identify missing or unreturned equipment.
  • Monitor asset recovery service levels and escalate unresolved cases to the appropriate security or incident response teams as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, metrics, and other materials for leadership and management teams.
  • Support the planning and execution of the annual IT hardware inventory process.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of annual PC replacement initiatives.
  • Conduct onsite physical inventory audits at Department locations.
  • Provide operational support for warehouse-related asset management activities.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to IT asset management processes and controls.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Knowledge of IT hardware asset management principles, practices, and tools.
  • Experience using IT Asset Management (ITAM) or IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, such as Cherwell or similar solutions.
  • Experience utilizing desktop management tools, inventory systems, or endpoint management platforms, such as Ivanti or comparable technologies.
  • Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret reports and inventory data.

The base range for this contract position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
