Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a seeking a Business Analyst to support application development initiatives focused on modern web applications built with Java, PrimeReact, and Kubernetes technologies for a contract position. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are clearly defined, documented, and translated into effective technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong business analysis experience, a solid understanding of software development practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This position is fully remote; however, candidates must reside in Wisconsin for the duration of the assignment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions to identify business needs, objectives, processes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze current business processes and identify system impacts, integration requirements, and dependencies across teams and applications.
  • Document and manage functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process workflows.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure requirements are complete, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain and refine the product backlog.
  • Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and related documentation.
  • Support Agile delivery teams using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.
  • Assist project leadership with task management, work breakdown structures, Jira updates, meeting documentation, and project tracking activities.
  • Translate business requirements into User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities.
  • Validate functionality and verify issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to address testing feedback.
  • Ensure accessibility and ADA compliance requirements are considered throughout solution design and testing processes.
  • Support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and deployment.
  • Assist in preparing system specifications and implementation documentation.
  • Support production releases and application rollouts.
  • Coordinate activities necessary for successful adoption of new solutions.
  • Develop user guides, knowledge articles, training materials, and process documentation.
  • Lead software demonstrations, stakeholder presentations, and end-user training sessions.
  • Provide guidance and support related to application functionality, business processes, and system usage.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand application architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, and technical dependencies.
  • Assist stakeholders in understanding system capabilities and solution options.
  • Support documentation and mapping of backend services and frontend application components.

The base range for this contract position is $40.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
