Job Description
LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Domain Managing Architect Cloud for our client. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic technology leader to drive enterprise cloud transformation, modernization, and AI governance initiatives across a complex technology landscape.

Position Summary:
The Domain Managing Architect Cloud will provide enterprise architecture leadership and strategic direction for cloud technologies, modernization initiatives, and emerging AI capabilities. This individual will partner with business and IT leadership to define and execute enterprise cloud strategy, establish governance standards, and guide large-scale transformation programs.
The successful candidate will be a thought leader with deep expertise in Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud architectures, enterprise architecture frameworks, and technology modernization. This role will also serve as a key advisor on AI governance, cloud-native architecture, and enterprise technology roadmaps while ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and business objectives.
Requirements:
This individual will bring deep expertise across cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, modernization strategies, and emerging AI technologies while fostering collaboration across business and technology teams. They will be responsible for shaping the organization's cloud future, reducing technology complexity, driving innovation, and ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that deliver long-term business value.
The base range for this contract position is $40.00 - $70.00 per hour, depending on experience; pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training

Requirements:
- Must have 15+ years of experience with the following:
- IT leadership, enterprise architecture, or solution architecture experience
- Leading enterprise cloud transformation initiatives and modernization programs
- Developing and executing cloud migration roadmaps across Azure and AWS environments
- Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar methodologies
- Designing cloud-native, microservices-based, event-driven, and distributed architectures
- Enterprise architecture governance, standards, patterns, and technology roadmaps
- Working across infrastructure, networking, security, data, integration, and application domains
- Leading complex technology decisions and architectural tradeoff discussions
- Executive-level communication, presentations, and stakeholder engagement
- Developing architecture diagrams, models, and documentation using Visio, draw.io, or similar tools
- Risk management, technical debt remediation, and governance processes
- Leading large-scale modernization efforts involving legacy systems and cloud adoption
- Collaborating with business executives, architecture teams, engineering organizations, and technology leaders
- Establishing scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise technology solutions
- Must have 8+ years of experience with the following:
- Architecture leadership roles with responsibility for enterprise-wide technology direction
- Cloud strategy development and implementation
- Multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architecture design and governance
- Leading cloud migration programs including rehost, replatform, refactor, and rebuild strategies
- Architecture review boards, governance processes, and solution assessments
- FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization strategies
- Managing enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and technology policies
- Driving consensus across multiple organizational and technology teams
- Define, lead, and execute enterprise cloud strategy across Azure and AWS platforms
- Develop multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies, including workload placement, portability, and legacy system retirement
- Partner with infrastructure and platform teams to implement scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized cloud environments
- Lead cloud migration and modernization programs across enterprise applications and platforms
- Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures and AI-ready technology platforms
- Establish AI governance frameworks addressing model risk management, explainability, fairness, compliance, and responsible AI practices
- Lead and approve Enterprise Architecture Assessments for cloud, modernization, and AI-enabled initiatives
- Ensure alignment with enterprise standards related to security, privacy, compliance, and data governance
- Drive landing zone design, cloud foundations, migration factory models, and cloud operational excellence
- Provide end-to-end architecture leadership for large-scale transformation initiatives
- Guide architects, engineering teams, and technology leaders through complex technical decisions
- Identify, assess, and mitigate architecture risks and technical debt
- Develop enterprise technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy and organizational objectives
- Collaborate with executive leadership to recommend future-state technology solutions and investments
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to support innovation and business value
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Associate
- TOGAF Certification
- FinOps Practitioner Certification
- Experience implementing AI governance frameworks within regulated environments
- Experience with cloud landing zones and cloud operating models
- Exposure to Agentic AI, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and vector database technologies
- Experience establishing enterprise architecture governance programs
- Experience supporting executive architecture review boards
- Insurance industry experience
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the insurance industry or other highly regulated industries
- Experience leading enterprise modernization initiatives across complex technology environments
- Hands-on knowledge of AI governance, compliance, and responsible AI frameworks
- Experience evaluating and implementing emerging AI technologies and enterprise cloud services
- Strong understanding of enterprise security, privacy, risk, and compliance requirements
- Proven success driving enterprise-wide cloud adoption and digital transformation initiatives
