Position Summary
The Domain Managing Architect Digital provides strategic architectural leadership across Digital domains and serves as a key partner to business and technology leaders in shaping the organization's future-state architecture. This role leverages enterprise architecture disciplines, frameworks, and governance practices to ensure technology solutions align with long-term business objectives while delivering scalable, secure, and resilient capabilities.
The successful candidate will lead architecture strategy, modernization initiatives, governance processes, and technology standards while working closely with solution delivery teams, architects, engineering organizations, and executive leadership. This individual will also play a critical role in advancing AI governance, digital transformation, and enterprise modernization efforts.

They will be passionate about innovation, modernization, and responsible AI adoption while ensuring the organization's architecture remains scalable, secure, resilient, and positioned for future growth.
The base range for this contract position is $40.00 - $70.00 per hour, depending on experience; pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training

Qualifications
Must have 10+ years of experience with the following:
- IT architecture, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or technology leadership roles
- Developing and maintaining current-state, future-state, and transition-state architectures
- Creating conceptual, logical, and physical architecture models, diagrams, and design artifacts
- Defining and governing enterprise architecture standards, patterns, policies, and technology roadmaps
- Working within Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar methodologies
- Leading enterprise modernization initiatives and legacy transformation programs
- Cloud transformation and adoption initiatives across complex technology environments
- Designing cloud-native, microservices-based, event-driven, and AI-enabled architectures
- Collaborating across infrastructure, networking, data, integration, security, and application domains
- Executive-level presentations, stakeholder communication, and architecture governance activities
- Architecture risk management, technical debt reduction, and technology lifecycle planning
- Developing architecture documentation using tools such as Visio, draw.io, or similar platforms
- Translating business objectives into scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions
- Architecture leadership roles with enterprise-wide influence and responsibility
- Driving digital transformation initiatives across business and technology organizations
- Leading architecture reviews, assessments, and governance processes
- Partnering with business leaders, IT leadership, architects, and engineering teams
- Establishing and maintaining architecture standards and reusable architectural patterns
- Facilitating consensus among diverse business, technical, and executive stakeholders
- Leading modernization efforts including legacy rationalization and platform transformation
- Managing architecture decisions across multiple programs, projects, and technology domains
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain current-state, future-state, and transition-state architecture roadmaps
- Create conceptual, logical, and physical architecture models and diagrams
- Formulate, review, and approve high-level solution and architecture designs
- Define, document, and govern architectural decisions across programs and projects
- Develop and enforce architecture policies, standards, governance processes, and best practices
- Identify and establish enterprise building blocks, reusable patterns, and reference architectures
- Establish AI governance frameworks addressing model risk management, explainability, fairness, compliance, and responsible AI practices
- Lead and approve Enterprise Architecture Assessments, including AI-enabled and cloud migration solutions
- Ensure alignment with enterprise standards related to security, data governance, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI
- Provide architectural guidance during evaluation and selection of vendor products and technology platforms
- Partner with Solution Delivery teams, architects, technical leads, and engineering teams to maintain target-state architectures
- Facilitate collaboration and consensus across business and technical teams
- Lead modernization initiatives, including legacy rationalization, system decommissioning, and adoption of cloud-native and AI-ready platforms
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify, assess, and mitigate architecture risks, technology gaps, and technical debt
- Support strategic planning efforts through enterprise architecture governance and technology guidance
- TOGAF Certification
- Azure Solutions Architect Certification
- AWS Solutions Architect Certification
- Experience implementing AI governance frameworks within regulated environments
- Exposure to Agentic AI, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and vector database technologies
- Experience establishing enterprise architecture governance programs and standards
- Experience driving enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of customer-facing digital platforms and modern digital ecosystems
- Experience evaluating emerging technologies and innovation opportunities
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the insurance industry or other highly regulated industries
- Experience supporting Customer, Distribution, and Producer/Agent business domains
- Experience implementing AI governance frameworks and responsible AI practices
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security, privacy, compliance, and governance requirements
- Experience leading enterprise modernization initiatives across complex digital environments
- Proven ability to align business strategy with technology architecture and execution
