Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building modern cloud-based solutions, and making a meaningful impact through innovation and collaboration. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to design, develop, and support enterprise applications using the Microsoft technology stack while helping shape scalable, secure, and reliable solutions in a cloud-first environment.

Location: St. Louis, MO (Contract-to-Hire)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using C#, .NET/.NET Core, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Build scalable RESTful APIs, web services, and cloud-native applications using modern software engineering practices.
  • Design and implement solutions utilizing Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Services, Storage Accounts, and Application Insights.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Implement automated testing, deployment, monitoring, logging, and application health practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex production and application issues while continuously improving performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA professionals, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, development best practices, and cloud architecture strategies.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core development.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs, web services, and enterprise applications.
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience, including database design, stored procedures, indexing, and performance optimization.
  • Experience developing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Services, Storage Accounts, and Application Insights.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, including source control, build and release pipelines, automated deployments, and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as Boomi or Informatica.
  • Experience designing or implementing event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with Azure Event Grid and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Experience integrating cloud-based applications with enterprise and third-party systems.
  • Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives.

The base range for this contract position is $60.00 - $70.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
