LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Senior AWS DevSecOps Engineer who enjoys building secure cloud platforms, automating infrastructure, and embedding security throughout the software delivery lifecycle. This fully remote direct-hire opportunity offers the chance to support enterprise AWS environments, Kubernetes platforms, and cloud modernization initiatives while helping deliver secure, reliable, accessible, and maintainable digital services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, integrate, test, document, and support AWS cloud solutions utilizing AWS, EKS, ECS, Terraform, Packer, Vault, Consul, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, container platforms, and security automation tools.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure.
• Build, optimize, and support secure CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation practices.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices by integrating security controls, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance checks, and release governance into delivery pipelines.
• Support Kubernetes environments using Amazon EKS and containerized workloads deployed across AWS platforms.
• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and platform reliability solutions.
• Translate business, mission, security, accessibility, and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Support platform architecture, implementation planning, backlog refinement, release readiness, and production transitions.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks, configuration standards, operational tooling, and support procedures that improve delivery consistency and reduce operational risk.
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving cloud infrastructure, APIs, security, networking, identity management, containers, and performance.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, privacy, infrastructure, QA, operations, development, and business teams to ensure secure and reliable solution delivery.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture decisions, implementation guides, operational runbooks, and testing artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in DevSecOps, cloud security, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or related technical disciplines.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing, configuring, developing, and supporting AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS, and container platform operations.
• Strong experience with Terraform, Packer, Infrastructure as Code practices, and cloud automation frameworks.
• Experience with HashiCorp technologies such as Vault and Consul.
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment orchestration.
• Experience implementing security controls within cloud platforms and software delivery pipelines.
• Experience with CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, monitoring, observability, alerting, and platform reliability practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, secrets management, compliance controls, and secure architecture principles.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise, government, or highly regulated environments is preferred.
• Experience with Section 508 accessibility requirements, cybersecurity controls, auditability, data protection, and operational governance is preferred.
• AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Security Specialty, Kubernetes certification, Terraform certification, or similar cloud certifications are highly desirable.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

The base salary range for this direct-hire position is $150,000 -$190,000 annually, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires across all U.S. locations. Individual compensation is determined by experience, certifications, location, and other job-related factors.
