Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a .NET Developer who enjoys building and supporting enterprise applications, solving complex technical challenges, and delivering secure, high-quality solutions. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support critical business applications while working across the full technology stack in a collaborative development environment.

Location: Wisconsin Residents Only (100% Remote Available)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, maintain, and support web-based applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack.
  • Perform full-stack development activities across front-end and back-end web applications and web APIs.
  • Develop and maintain applications using ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, and related technologies.
  • Support and enhance existing applications while responding to business requests and operational needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports and reporting solutions.
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures.
  • Manage system integrations and support application interfaces across enterprise platforms.
  • Follow established SDLC methodologies, coding standards, testing procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application and integration issues.
  • Participate in security initiatives, vulnerability remediation efforts, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Support DevSecOps initiatives by implementing secure development practices and security controls within the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with business users, analysts, developers, and technical stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in occasional evening or weekend deployment and support activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 5-8+ years of experience developing and supporting web-based applications using:
    • ASP.NET
    • MVC
    • .NET Core
    • C#
    • JavaScript
    • TypeScript
    • Bootstrap
  • 5-8+ years of experience performing full-stack development, including front-end and back-end application development.
  • Experience developing and supporting web APIs and web services.
  • 5-8+ years of experience with ASP.NET and SSRS reporting.
  • 5-8+ years of experience with SQL Server, relational databases, and stored procedure development.
  • Experience supporting application integrations and enterprise business applications.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, testing, debugging, and documentation practices.
  • Understanding of secure software development practices and modern application security principles.
  • Experience implementing security controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Advanced Security or similar DevSecOps and application security tooling.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-218 Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF), ISO 27034, or similar secure development standards.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability remediation, security initiatives, incident response activities, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The base range for this contract position is $55.00 - $65.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires across all U.S. locations. Individual compensation is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
